Latest post-election disaster

Trump has just picked Jeff Sessions for attorney general. Sessions, a senator from Alabama, was nominated by Reagan for a federal judgeship, but the Republican-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee opposed the nomination because of his racially charged actions and statements.

This might be too much detail for non-Americans to care about, but it is appointments such as this that will define the new government.

  1. Better go hunt down a poodle skirt and some saddle shoes. It's the 1950s all over again - and not the good part of it.

  4. Much of the stuff people worry about aint never gonna happen anyway Shawn. I just read that on one of your fellow countrymen's blogs.

If you keep worrying it is only you who is suffering. Chin up and write some happier stuff. A wedding in the family must have been a happy day.

    1. It is not I who is suffering. I am privileged. My concern is for the others who will suffer.

    2. I think you may have misunderstood my comment. But never mind you are at a time when you will only see what you want to see. I will not bother with Trump posts anymore and trying to be positive about anything and leave you to it. You are just making yourself miserable so carry on without me.

  6. I feel sorry for you guys.

I know how triggering it is to have someone who actually enforces the law in government.
