Yes, I went to the march today.

  1. Well done. I hear he has brought a stop to government services because he will not agree to protect the innocent children of immigrants. What will it take to get rid of this man?

    1. We are hoping the GOP loses its majority in the Senate next November. That will at least stop him in his tracks. I don't think he can be gotten rid without violence and a willingness to do time.

  2. I just saw some protestors on TV. One was carrying a banner which said: 'Set Melania Free'. What's that all about?

    1. Do you imagine she wants to be living in the White House with Trump, forced to stand by his side for every photo op? She can't even bring herself to smile for the cameras.

    2. . I recall the Obamas going through a rough patch. And also the Clintons. Hope the couple can sort out their differences. It's not easy being First Lady. When she made her first public appearances I didn't like the way some of the media made fun of her accent.

  3. Hi Shawn. I keep reading your comments on Tom, John and Rachel's posts and want to join in. Hope I can join your little band.
I watched a programme on Obama last night - seemed such a humble man - how he climbed to fame from humble beginnings. Don't know what you thought to him but surely the present incumbend seems to be undoing any good which Obama did (or at least trying to).
I blog with a lot of Americans and only one voted Republican. From this distance it all looks quite terrifying.

    1. Hi Weave! I'm so happy to hear from you. I've been reading your blog recently. For the record, I loved Obama the man although I was often disappointed in Obama the president. I don't know anyone who voted for Trump. In fact, I don't think I know any Republicans!

  5. A shame we're still working on this, more than a century later. Keep your eye on the prize; we shall overcome. Vote.

  6. One of the best signs I saw was held by a grey haired lady and said "I can't believe I'm still doing this shit." My gesture in response was to put my hands out, palms up and nod "I knooow!"
